Paul deserted at his 2nd trial in Rome
Hugs to you, Paul and Elayne,
Janice
Sermon by David Adams "How God Helps Us" - Sunday December 27, 2015, First Baptist Subang Jaya
2 Timothy 4: 16 - 18
1. God gives us Grace during disappointment
Demus deserted Paul for the pleasures of the world to go to Thessaloniki.
Paul's reaction to disappointment, betrayal, and desertion...
2. God gives us strength during difficulty
Anger -> Bitterness -> Hatred -> Suffering
Rather "May it not be harmed against them."
Why? He had received grace, mercy so could extend it (love, willingness to forgive) -> St Stephen
When we have unresolved pain, bitterness, anger, escalation of revenge, it manifests physically
-> God gives us an attitude of grace, mercy, desire and willingness to forgiveness, reconciliation. ..
Does NOT mean there aren't consequences that don't go away, that need to be confronted, to be dealt with
-> God stood by me and strenghtened me. (verse17)
Being a Christian does not give us immunity from trial, pain, but he is always with us to give us strength
3. God give us purpose and meaning "so that through me the gentiles get the message"
-> You will be a witness for me before Kings... did not turn out how Paul thought but even more profound...
4. In times od despair, God gives us Hope
2 Timothy 4: 7 "fought the good fight, run the race, kept the faith"
John 11: 25
Let us give Him praise and glory for all the above...

Cayetana, the Spanish Duchess Who Tidied Up All Her Titles In Her Own Way
Copyright 2014 by
Janice Seto
The 18th Duchess of Alba de Tormes died at age 88
at her favourite home, the serene Palacio de las Duenas, in Seville on November
20, 2014. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Cayetana FitzJames
Stuart y Silva was the most titled aristocrat in the world, the heiress to
titles of both her father, the 17th Duke de Alba and her mother, the
only child of the Dukes of Hijar. Certainly Cayetana was the most colourful
aristocrat in Spain. As long as she was living evidence of Spain’s Downton
Abbey past, Cayetana and her 6 children and grandchildren took up residence in celebrity
magazines and websites. The 18th Duchess de Alba was an Enneagram 4
unleashed, with the wealth to live her life and loves the way she wanted.
Away from public eye is sober side of Cayetana, as the
custodian of House of Alba. Schooled by
her father’s example, Cayetana wanted her legacy to be a successful passing on
of the Alba patrimony to the next generation. The House of Alba was not about herself as an
individual, it was about a lineage.
Much has been said about Duchess’s will and how she publicly
disclosed who gets what in terms of property. More attention should be given to
how she carefully planned the tidying up of that other legacy, her titles.

Duchess Catherine's takes off... again
The actions of Duchess Catherine belie her reputation for timidity with the press. When even Tom Sykes, an unabashed fan of the Cambridges, questions the timing of another vacation in the dead of winter during the economic crisis and the paucity of royal duties... He comes very close to saying her pregnancy is very convenient an excuse from royal duties and conveniently not too severe to prohibit a trans-Atlantic flight to the paradise island of Mustique.
Instead of timidity, Duchess Catherine is acting with impunity (enneagram 7 wing) because her husband is with her 109%.
His actions on their collective behalf appeal to her Enneagram 6 type. He is her Security, her place to fall. As long as they are a united team,
the Cambridges will continue to work their way, the amount they wish, regardless of fair comparisons drawn up by the always insightful Marlene Koenig
In many ways, a pity.
Hope they end up as good a credit as Haakon and Mette-Marit instead of Nicholas and Alexandra...

Duchess Catherine - Enneagram type
After the publication of the nude photos of Prince William's wife, it is becoming clearer that Duchess Catherine - more famously known as Kate Middleton - is showing signs of Enneagram 6 with a 7 wing.
She has set her mind to loyally fit into the royal family. This is how she finds security.

Her 7 wing however pops up when she feels an impending loss. For example, this was how she turned Prince William's view of her from another chum at St Andrew's University to someone he could date:

Note that it was a safe unveiling, a university charity fashion show. One cannot be called skanky when wearing this Charlotte Todd dress for fundraising, Kate justified in her mind.
The pattern of Kate selectively showing skin all revolves around security and loss. In 2007 when Prince William dumped her, she set about getting him back using this modus operandi. First, she kept discreet, saying nothing and not showing her emotions. This was coupled with keeping her cell accessible to her errant swain. But not sitting by the phone, instead going out to hotspots in skintight miniskirts that were close to flashing what he was missing.
